GENERAL SAT TUTORIALS.
Before i start, let me quickly  say something about the status of qsat and some other internet dongles. Qsat, for the past six months now, has not been stable. It is on and of for the past six months now sever issues here and there. Qsat only work for four months when it was first realised and since then, it has never worked for a months without encountering sever problem. At first when it came, we thought we have gotten the right receiver that will give us complete dstv without disappointment but what we see today is rather the opposite. Qsat team really has a great work to do if they really want to stay in the competition because more competitors are in and  more are coming.
Tv1 account is still getting things right just that, they need to work more on their hd channels and also solve some issue of not connecting to mtn network. Tv1 account is the oldest cccam account in the market that opens all dstv channels with amazing stability. Tv1 account don’t seems to work well on some decoders like, strong decoders. They must do everything to retify this problem so as to encourage people using strong decoders to subscribe to their services.
About A-one cccam account. This account comes as a direct competitor to tv1 account and is believed to open all the hd channels on dstv in some months to come. This account also come with a decoder called Aone decoder. Canalsat channels will also be added. It coming into the system, will have both positive and negative impact on tv1 because a-one team are willing to do everything just to capture the market and tv1 has to do a lot if they still want to remain unbeaten. Currently, tv1 is more stable that a-one and still opens more channels than a-one but let’s wait and see how the battle goes.
Azsky dongle/decoders. This dongle still outperforms qsat in several ways. Since azsky came back a couple of months ago, they still remain unbeatable despite been the most affordable and cheapest dongle. Azsky is currently, opening almost all channels on dstv and is very stable. Account are available for renewals and very cheap as well.
Now back to the matter of the day. It is my greatest desire, that i publish an article that will do justice to all minor sat related issues like, scanning of channels, internet settings on qsat decoders, signal searching, how to load cccam account, and many more. By the time am through with this article, you shall know everything about minor configurations on qsat and other decoders.
Every receiver when newly purchased, comes in a factory default which means, you have to manually set it up the way you want it. Boa or wrong settings on your receiver can lead to poor signal or bad  transmition so it is important you know the accurate settings for your receiver because every receiver, comes with it own guidlines and settings. But let me start with qsat because it is the most common receiver now in the system.
HOW TO CONFIGURE YOUR NEWLY BOUGHT QSAT.  At times, you may be lucky to have it fixed by your dealer or vise vesa.
To manually install qsat, first power it on using the power adaptor that comes with it. click on the menu button and then use the right volume control key to navigate to setting. Under setting, scroll down to erthenet configuration and and click okay. There, you will see lan internet as the link type. Change and select 3g network if you want to use a moderm but select gprs network if you are using just a direct simcard. Now locate configue just under the erthenet configuration and click the okay button where you will see Area, operator, internet and auto link box. Select Ghana as the area name. Select mtn as the operator name and then, mark the box by pressing the okay button. After this, just power of your receiver, insert an active simcard with enough airtime for about ghc2 only and then power it on. Wait for about three munite for the receiver to load and connect to the network by displaying the [network connection success] If this message appears, then it means your qsat is now connected to the network so what you need now is to scan for the channels.
To scan for the channels, you must first of all, make sure you have a dish positioned on dstv signals  but if not, then you need to install the dish first. To install the dish, these are the procedures.
In doing this, you either go in for an installer or you do it your self but if you want to do it yourself then follow my tutorials below
REQUIRMENT TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION ARE: A hammer, three inch nails, 10, 13 and 14 size spanner, a cutter, solution tape, earth connecters at least two.
INSTALLING MULTITV. Multitv is an fta satellite television here in Ghana. It satellite direction is position at the east which means if you are trying to get the multitv signal, your satellite dish should be facing the east no matter what because, it is where the signal are coming from. Now first install the dish using the dish manual note: the dish comes with a round plate, a dish cap, a stand, an lnb and an lnb holder, dish acessories.  After assembling the dish, carefully  fix the lnb in the lnb holder at the last end of the angle bar you can get your dealer to help fix the dish alone for you then bring it to the house and proceed with the installation. The stand with the four holes at the last end of it is to be mounted on a wall where you want your dish to be. Note: the stand has eight holes all together. When fixing the stand, be carefull as not to make mistakes by bending it or turning the stand at the wrong position. so first of all, hold the stand firmly with your hands as if you are trying to mount the dish and then see if the dish is well fixed in a way that, it can track signal or is facing the east direction and if everything is okay, then mount your stand on your wall or facial board. Use normal nails on a facial board and use concrete nails for a wall. Also, mount your dish in a place where there is no object to block your signals. Object like tall buildings, planted trees, human object, thick electric cables etc. Now after mounting your dish, partially tight your dish in a way suitable for adjusting and turning because you may have to be turning your dish vertically and horizontally until the signal shoot or flash. You now need to connect your coaxial cable from your dish to the receiver using the connecters. After connecting cable to the dish, then connect it into the receiver’s lnb input. Now power on your receiver. Press menu on your remote note: You will see any one of the following, install satellite , installation, antenna setup, dish installation or satellite installation under menu depending on the type of receiver. select any of the following and proceed to manual search or setting and input this frequencies, 12522 or 12525 as the frequency  and 27500 or 27000 for symborate and polarity is vertical. Please make sure the lnb frequencies are maintained (9750 and 10600). After connecting cable and inputting the frequencies, the signal level or intensity rises to a certain percentage and you now need to go and then search for the signal by adjusting the dish but before that, get some one to watch the screen for you whiles you are doing so or better still get a monitor to help you monitor the signal. Adjust the dish both vertically and horizontally till you see the signal shooting. Please be very observance when doing this because this part is the most difficult part of the job so you need to be very observance and and much focus so as to get the right signal. Continue to adjust in the right direction still facing the dish at east. You can also look at already mounted dish in your area and to position yours in the same way whiles you continue tracking the signal. Track till you get a signal with 65% to 75% then tight the dish horizontally first before tighting it vertically then go and then scan the receiver by pressing the search button or scan button to get your channels.
This procedure is applicable to all satellite receivable  in the whole world but the only difference here is their orbital position and their orbital frequencies. Below are the orbital positions  and frequencies for satellite receivable in space.
MULTITV:
ORBITAL POSITION: 28.2 degree east
FREQUENCIES:12525 OR12522
SYMBORATE:27500 OR 27000
POLARITY: VERTICAL
HOTBIRD:
16 degree east.
FREQUENCY:11881  SYMB:27500 VERTICAL.
10804 SYMB:30000 HORIZONTAL.
STRONG OR MYTV:
68.5 degree east.
FREQUENCY: 12722 SYMB: 26657 VERTIVAL.
DSTV MULTICHOICE:
36 degree east.
FREQUENCY: 11747 SYMB:27500 HORIZONTAL.
CANALSAT AFRIQUE:
22 degree west.
FREQUENCY: 10986 SYMB:30000 VERTICAL.
Just follow the multitv installation procedures  above to install any satellite dish you want, what matters is their frequencies and orbital position. you can now install your own satellite dish following the steps above but how ever, you can as well contact me for any online help.

HOW DO I SCAN FOR DSTV CHANNELS? Press the menu button on your remote and select antenna settings. Antenna settings is always the first thing that normally pop out just after pressing the menu  button. Select antenna settings and and then make sure you select Eutelsat 36 as the satellite name. Come to transponder and select 11747 H 27500. After selecting everything correctly, the signal quality will rise but failure to  get the signal rising after inputing everything perfectly well means, your dish is not well positioned. Also get a good signal quality of at least 65% It can be more than that but it shouldn’t be more than 75%. After getting a good signal, press on the blue button and also select blind scan. When scanning for dstv, you need not to select manual scan because dstv operates on different frequencies so manual scan will give you just some channels on just one frequency. Blind scan, will capture all frequencies operating on the same dstv orbital position therefore will scan all dstv frequencies. Try to save your channels after scaning and also activate your diseqt swich if you are using one. You do so by going to the diseqt mode and selecting diseqt 1.0 or diseqt 1.1. Then select your port for instance, if dstv is on port 2 then select port 2 or b under your diseqt options.
HOW DO I ARRANGE MY CHANNELS OR MOVE THEM?To arrange your channels according to alphabetical order, press on the okay button and the channels list will pop out then click on the red button to select the option A-Z. After doing this, your channels will be arrange accordingly starting from A to Z but now, how do you move your favorite channels? Press menu and and then locate channels manager. Select it  and then mark the channels you want move by pressing the okay button, After marking then, skip to the number you want to move them to and then press the yellow button and you are done.
HOW DO I CHECK MY QSAT EXPIRY DATE?
To do this, quickly go to menu and then navigate to settings click okay and then go straight to xcam setup-acamhd or avatarcam hd and press the okay button. You will see active on and off and active code 000000000. Press the red button and it will display your active code and expiry date. If your xcam setup is missing, then press 1512 on system under settings but please don’t press the okay button whiles on system. Just scroll to system and then press 1512.
WHAT ARE INTERNET DONGLES/ RECEIVERS?
A dongle is an electronic device use is decrypting an information or programs. So what then is an internet dongle or gprs dongles? This are small devices with gprs functions design to decrypt payed tv programs. Seven years ago, internet dongles invaded the satllite market. The first one released was was srt 007 but it later died due to dstv attack. Later, Avatar 2 box was released but this one, does’t use gprs funtion but it was also killed by dstv. A year later, Liberty star receiver was also introduced. This receiver worked for about seven months and later started messing up because dstv will never sit down and watch it take over the market so they lunch a serious attack on them too but the question is, what was their week point? Because this dongles are just new and are not well versed into this satellite decrypting thing, they failed to have design powerfull severs with different account usernames and that makes it easier for dstv to shut them down. After the death of  liberty star, came azsky , Aplus, Eclink. This dongles seems to have come fully prepaird because they work very well for almost a year so we thought they have got things right. Aplus and  eclink started messing up after some years and months into the business but azsky was still strong then.
WHAT HAPPENED TO AZSKY LAST SIX MONTHS AGO?
Azsky was very strong before the dstv hard upgrade last six months ago. It all started when azsky engineers thought they have got all things right so decided to relaxed. Dstv took them unaware by peerforming an upgrade at the time azsky enginners never thought upgrade could be done that time. They were waiting to be informed by an insider. All azsky severs both old and new were all at work that very afternoon before the upgrade and lo and behold, their severs got crashed that very afternoon because i started noticing a change when major channels that never goes off on azsky started going off and before evening, everything went off. For closed to one months nothing positive was happening untill i contacted them and they said new severs are been designed. I trusted them because, azsky is always supportive and always fulfill promises. I wasn’t suprised when some channels started showing up but was not stable enough so i ask them what’s new? they replied by saying they are testing new severs. That replied gave me a relief because i know they were going to come back and now they are fully back. Performing well. Opening more channels now and with amazing stability. They will soon open all the hd channels on dstv.
WHAT OTHER DONGLE RECEIVERS DO WE HAVE IN THE MARKET NOW?
More dongle receivers and account are are in into the market now but the question is, How reliable and stable are they? Well as we all know, This devicec can never give us 100% dstv i  must be frank with if you want 100% dstv, then dont buy this devices but rather go for dstv it self and pay thier huge monthly subscriptions because this devices are for we those who can’t afford the huge monthly subscryptions.
Despite the fact that this devices can’t give us 100% dstv, we have some very good dongles and account that can give you at least 85% dstv. Dongles like, azsky dongles will give you 85% dstv. This dongle now works for an hour withought a single freezind . Account like Tv1 account will give you 90% dstv expercially with good internet connections. I will not mention avatar account account because, it is one type of account that will never give you value for your money. For the past seven months now, it has been very unstable and unreliable to watch. They still have a lot to do if they really want stay long enough in the market.
A-one account and decoder is just new in the market but has also be very unstable now a days but let’s wait and see what the future holds for them too.
MY ADVISE AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
If you want a total and a 100% dstv then i advise you get dstv decoder it self and and pay their huge monthly subscriptions but if you can’t they get your self azsky dongle and a compactible decoder or qsat with tv1 account.
I use this opportunity to wish you all my fans a happy merry christmas and a new year in advance. May we continue to enjoy dstv with our dongles and may dongles forever continue to work and decrypt dstv channels till dstv slash down their prices.

How To Enable And Load Cccam On Your Qsat Decoder

Okay, so there’s been a lot of talk about Qsat challenges ranging from stability and reliability during live matches, to number of channels available for viewing. Sometimes, cheap things bring us more stress. However, since the options for access to good tv programming in Africa remain few, the chinese technology opportunists will keep serving what the majority can afford.
The fact is, eventhough many know the reliability issues Qsat is saddled with, they still ignore CCcam and Oscam servers for avatarcam codes. Maybe the world of satellite technology enthusiasts and tv viewers is gradually but steadily waking up to the present recognition of the fact that a blend of the two is perhaps the only way to sustain a beautiful viewing experience in this present times.
So to get the whole package : Reliability, Stability and Complete Channel List, you have decided to get a cccam account to use on your Qsat. The intention here then is to show you how to enable cccam capability on your Qsat decoder, to give you access to all the benefits cccam users enjoy watching tv via dreambox, strong and openbox decoders.
Here’s what to do to access CCcam protocol on your Qsat :
1. Press MENU On Your Remote.
2. Select SETTING
3. Navigate to XCAM SETUP ( Last Item On That Page. Can Be Found Just After SYSTEM)( If you dont find Xcam setup on this page, dont fret. The service is simply not active, and that’s not a problem .You can activate xcam by simply pressing 1512 Whiles on the SETTING page. Xcam menu will pop up).
After selecting Xcam in the previous step, the next page should present you with four items PATCH, SHARING, AVATARCAMHD and DQCAM. Now let’s move to the next step.
4. Select SHARING This where you are going to input information from your purchased CCCam account. Take note of what I’m going to say next. When you navigate to SERVER, PORT, USER and PORT, you have to press the RIGHT NAVIGATION BUTTON to bring up the onscreen keyboard for you to type in values. Also, After typing the correct values in each of the following sections, You MUST PRESS THE BLUE BUTTON on your remote to save what you typed, else you lose everything. While the onscreen keyboard is on, you can type special characters by PRESSING THE RED BUTTON on your remote control.
5. First Item is the SERVER NUMBER. Since this is your first cccam account, leave this at 1.
6. Then you have ACTIVE. This should be turned to ON.
7. Next item is PROTOCOL. Select CCCAM for the protocol.
8. Next you have SERVER. Here, type in server address/IP/url provided in your purchased account. E.g (sky9.dyndns.cx / 201.135.222.222 / http:// **********
9. Now you have PORT. This is the relay network port of your server address. This should be a five digit number
10.Next Item is USER. Here input the username/UserID/LoginID provided In your account.
11.Now you have PASSWORD. Also provided by account supplier.
12. The last items include DESKEY and STATUS. Deskey is needful when protocol is MGcam or NewCam. Now You have entered all your values correctly. To connect the cccam, simply press theBLUE BUTTON on your remote control.
Before doing this however, you should have deactivated avatarcam, the inbuilt protocol Qsat uses to grant access to scrambled channels. To do this, simply move back one page from where you are, by pressing EXIT/BACK. Now select PATCH, and turn AVATARCAMHD from ON to OFF. When this is done, you can return to SHARING and connect your cccam.
Now, if your internet connection is ok, your purchased cccam is valid, and your input has been correctly done, the STATUS should indicate CONNECTED, which indicates you are good to go with viewing.
Using GPRS for CCCAM might not be the best, as you might not enjoy the kind of data packet flow that would keep your cccam working without breaks. I suggest you use a 3G/3.5G/3.75G/4G USB stick instead of a gprs direct simcard connection. Once slotted at the back or front of your box, Navigate to MENU>>> SETTING>>> ETHERNET CONFIG>>> 3G.
APN is usually Internet for most Service Providers, Dialcode is *99#. Save your settings and you would have an amazingly stable cccam viewing experience that you would relish. You can also use LAN CONNECTION if you have a wired fixed broadband internet. I Hope this article has provided you with enough information and you some help.

Despite the fact that I have previously written about how to load / activate a cccam account on a qsat decoder, I am under pressure to re-write it in a more comprehensive manner, with the help of pictures this time around. But to start with, let me give you updates that you are yearning for. Since about the evening of Thursday 7th of August 2014, i have been noticing this annoying freezing on my qsat, I did my min research and i discovered that all qsat decoders with any avatarcam code are freezing. Yesterday, my tv1 cccam account too started to freeze but the freezing of cccam is not up to that of qsat. As i speaking, my cccam has stopped freezing why qsat still freezes. After gathering my findings, i discovered that d.s.t.v are upgrading and that is what is causing the freezing. What i simply want to say is that, you don’t need to switch your internet connections as long as your current connection connects successfully. Secondly you don’t need to downgrade or your decoder as no software can currently patch the freezing. The freezing will be sorted out by qsat team. What I also noticed is that hiptv is not even opening at all on qsat, ss6 freezes terribly and channels is hell on the decoder. however most of the africa magics, and movie magics are manageable. Currently, am tied only to my cccam account without caring if avatarcam on my qsat ever existed.

PERQUISITES TO USING A CCCAM ON A QSAT OR SPEED HD S1 DECODER
I will list the requirements in order or priorities;
  1. Stable 3G or 3.75G network(Alternatively, you can use a very stable 2g network, However i shall not advice anybody to use 2g. Also I won’t advice anyone to use 4G connection. Without a stable internet connection, you can’t use a cccam account because this will amount to sheer wasting of money if you do) To establish a sucesfuly internet connectionread this
  2. Second requirements is for you to buy the account from a reliable retailer or dealer( the account details involves just four items; Username/ ID/ login, password, address/URL/ server and port)
  3. Your qsat remote control must be working good. No workaround if your remote is faulty

Steps On How To Load / Input / activate Cccam On Qsat
  • On your remote press Menu>>Setting>XCAM Setup and you will see the followings as shown in the picture below
xcam_menu
  • Now Select Sharing by default you will see the following as shown below. You will have to manually edit most of this values
qsat_cccamqsat_cccam_connection in progress
  • Under Server No choose any numbers from 1-5(please ignore this if you are using only one cccam account, Next Change “Active” to “ON” (the default is Off), Protocol is CCCAM(unless otherwise stated by your supplier), Server is the same as address and its the same as URL it normally looks like this “tv4.dns4.us” (it can be anything but it is definitely case sensitive if you don’t enter it correctly, your account will not work) To insert extra characters, you will need to “press RED button” on qsat, if you make a mistake, used the “Yellow button” to delete everything previously entered on that particular column and start all over. Once you type everything correctly on a particular column, use “blue button” to confirm your typing.
editing_cccam_on_qsat
  • When all is done properly, your cccam will look like what we have below
  • Now press the blue button on your remote to connect your cccam server to your qsat.(Note: before you connect your cccam, it is advisable that you first turn off your avatarcam code and reboot your decoder. All other things being equal, once you press the blue button, your cccam account will connect and the status will change to “connected” from “disconnected” picture is below
qsat_connected_to_cccam
  • Whenever you don’t want to use your cccam and you want to use avatarcam account instead(like maybe your internet connection become bad and you don’t want to be banned please switch off your cccam account then reboot your decoder.

Troubleshooting Cccam Account On Qsat Decoder
  • I entered everything correctly, yet my cccam account is not connecting status is “Disconnected” please try the followings:
  1. Make sure you restart your decoder after correctly entering your cccam account details into your qsat.
  2. Make sure you have a working internet connection(To be sure about this, try and stream you tube videos for some minutes on your qsat, or simoly try and reactivate your avatarcam code and see if your expiry date will display or not)
  3. Just to be sure, you can delete the “password” and the server and re-enter them
  4. Hope you entered your port correctly; For example, your port number must be five digits (e.g if you are given One hundred as your port, you must write it as it is: it must be written as “00100” and not as “100”
  5. As the last resort, if all efforts failed, contact whoever sold it to you for help.
